TEFL / TESOL Thailand - Pattaya is a 4 week international (Teaching English
as a Foreign Language) TEFL / (Teachers of English to Speakers of Other
Languages) TESOL training course program in Thailand and Cambodia that is
certified for 144 hours, above the 120 hours TEFL / TESOL international
standard which includes 30 hours of cultural and language training as well
as a teaching English job at the end of the TEFL / TESOL course.
A unique feature of this TEFL / TESOL Thailand program is the opportunity
to spend the first 2 weeks of training in Phnom Penh, Cambodia in a joint
session with trainees from Cambodia, Thailand, China and Vietnam. A tour
of the city is included, and you will also have the option to participate
in an excursion to the Angkor Wat temple in northern Cambodia, one of the
Seven Wonders of the World. After the joint training session, trainees will
return to Pattaya for the remainder of their program. Transportation is
included for trainees traveling between Thailand and Cambodia.
You become an internationally qualified TEFL / TESOL English teacher with
the help and guidance of our experienced teachers and assistants. You gain
knowledge of teaching practices and classroom experience allowing you to
build and develop your own teaching style.
All TEFL / TESOL Thailand teaching English courses offer teaching English

The TEFL / TESOL Course Syllabus
The HEART of the program is a specially designed 144 hour TEFL / TESOL course
that combines what we feel are the essentials of what you need to become
an effective Teacher and to successful in your new country. The program
has an academic class work component, a foreign language component, and
a teaching practice component.
When you arrive at Phnom Penh airport in Cambodia, where you will be met
by a member of our local staff and they will take you to your accommodation
in Phnom Penh.
On Sunday evening you will attend a welcome dinner to meet your peers who
are training on the Cambodia, Vietnam and China program.
On Monday you will join students from Cambodia, Vietnam and China TEFL /
TESOL programs for the first 2 weeks of the course of your academic training.
We have developed this model at the request of TEFL / TESOL Asia members
to meet and develop relationships with their counter parts in other countries.
Additionally while in Cambodia those taking a full 144 hours TEFL / TESOL
Training course will be give a free 3 days excursion to Siem Reap - Angkor
Wat.
Let's walk through the program and see what you will be doing on a day to
day basis.
During the first two weeks of class week, your time will be dedicated to
academics. At the end of the second week you will return to Thailand to
complete your local language training and teaching practice. We want to
you have a solid base so that at the beginning of the third week, you are
ready to begin student teaching. The day starts at 9 AM and finishes at
approximately 5.30 PM. The day is broken up into four two hour teaching

The third and fourth weeks the schedule changes dramatically. First class
session of the day will be putting into practice the academic pat of your
TEFL / TESOL training. You will be teaching English to students in a school
or an organization. You will be expected to teach as many as twenty hours
of time with "real" students. You will have additional time to
go over your plans, and your previous day’s presentation with TEFL
/ TESOL Thailand - Pattaya staff. Second session varies between Thai language
and cultural classes training and language practicum. While the third and
fourth sessions of the day center around lesson planning, lesson development,
materials development for your next teaching lesson and looking for teaching
English jobs.

to get a teaching job without a Bachelor's Degree however, it is normal
for a school to pay less than someone who has a degree.
• Have a Criminal Records Bureau Check that is not less than 12 months
